This job acts as a leader in patient care, utilizing the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and demonstrating cultural sensitivity. The role also requires involvement in activities aligned with the unit and department’s strategic goals, and maintaining professional responsibility and accountability.

Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Work Experience
Required: None.
Certifications
Required: Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
