Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a registered nurse to render professional nursing care to assigned patients and to use the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The role supports hospital mission and values; requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN licensure or eligibility, BLS certification, and 12 months RN experience. Provides direct patient care as part of the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates with team, patients, and family; ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Provides medication and IV administration
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Texas RN license or eligibility

Current BLS Certification
