Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to render high-level nursing care to assigned patients. The role emphasizes the nursing process, direct and indirect patient care, and alignment with Methodist Health System's mission and values.

Shifts run 0600-1830 for 2 days per week, with responsibilities ranging from patient assessment to safe medication administration within a teaching hospital setting in Dallas, Texas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relations and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other education process.
• Communicates with the team, coworkers, patients and families and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Shows personal initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
