Job summary

Morris County Hospital in Council Grove, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse (day shift) to work three 12-hour shifts per week. The Staff Nurse or Charge will render nursing care across departments, supervise aides, administer medications, and document care in the electronic health records system.

The ideal candidate is a Kansas-licensed RN with strong patient-care skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, interacting with physicians and staff throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Kansas licensure.
• Ability to operate nursing equipment and follow physician orders.
• Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• The Staff Nurse is ultimately responsible for assessment care and delegation of care of the patients on his/her shift of care.
• The Staff Nurse will be responsible for medications and the med room and will help with care and treatment of patients.
• The Staff Nurse should give nursing care according to physician's orders, recognize significant changes in patient's condition, and operate technical equipment with ease and accuracy.
• The Staff Nurse must be able to manipulate fingers and hands well in handling equipment and instruments, and maintain good visual and hearing acuity to notice changes in patient's condition.
• The RN must be alert in recognizing and reporting symptoms and must maintain good rapport with all hospital customers.
