The individual will assist with patient care, ensure that sterile procedures are followed during surgery, take stock of necessary equipment and medications are needed by the operating room team, and that the patient’s safety and well-being is advocated for.The CVOR nurse will be responsible for the care of cardiovascular patients before, during, and following surgical procedures. The CVOR nurse will participate in the sedation of patients and assist physicians during the procedure by administering medications, monitoring vital signs and applying dressings.
