Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland seeks an experienced RN to join the Inpatient Critical Care/Critical Care Step Down Float Pool. The role involves floating across units, performing IV placement, blood draws, tracheostomy care and drain management, and supporting care teams with critical thinking and delegation.

Qualified candidates hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and CCU experience. The position offers rotating weekends/holidays, comprehensive benefits, and tuition/certification incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers.
• 1 year of inpatient critical care RN experience.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Float between units including Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, catheter care, airway and tube management as needed.
• Provide time management, critical thinking and delegation to support care teams.

Bi-weekly Hours: 48.00

Shift: 7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Variety of complex medical disorders

Primary Skills Utilized/learned

• IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter insertion/removal

Personnel RN Will Work With

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN

Required Qualifications
