Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, plan care, and coordinate interventions to prevent complications and promote independence. You will use the nursing process to deliver high-quality care consistent with standards and safety policies.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and preferably 1 year of acute care experience; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 1 year recent acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Must have electronic charting system experience
• CRRN preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications and restore optimal functioning.
• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care according to established standards and policies.
• Ensure environment is safe for patients, visitors, and staff and adhere to infection prevention standards.
• Assist patients in regaining physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

The role is responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered lifestyle. Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality and efficient patient care according to established standards. Ensures that professional and acute nursing care has been provided to all patients. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards. Performs other duties as directed. Assist patients in regaining their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence.

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

• An active RN license.
• One (1) year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
• The desire to care for compromised patients and act with integrity.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Must have electronic charting system experience
• CRRN preferred but not required
