Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality patient care on a rotating days and nights shift. The role requires 2 years of recent RN experience in a large acute care hospital and current Michigan RN licensure, with duties including telemet ry oversight and unit-to-unit floating on site.

The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while effectively communicating with the care team and patients'

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• 2 years recent related clinical nursing experience.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the health care team and document care and teaching.
• Floating between hospital units on site, with telemetry units requiring examination and oversight.
• Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure accountability.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Contingent Option III: Clinical Resources Department contingents that report directly to a House Manager, Clinical Resources Department. Meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse.

Unit Overview

• In house nursing pool.
• Floating between hospital units on site with Henry Ford Hospital Main.
• Telemetry examination is required for telemetry units.

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Previous 2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.
