Job summary

Harlem Hospital Center, part of NYC Health + Hospitals, seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to deliver professional nursing care on an assigned unit under supervision. You will diagnose and treat patient health problems using nursing methods, and contribute to treatment plans and patient education.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnoses and treats responses to health problems by nursing methods and techniques.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
• Maintains nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interprets and reports patient responses to health team members.
• Participates with interdisciplinary health team to plan care.
• Directs allied nursing personnel in components of the nursing regimen.
