Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or related setting preferred.
• Newer nurses with a strong desire to grow in long-term care are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Dependable, compassionate and resident-focused approach to nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' clinical needs and assist in developing individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing standards.
• Monitor residents for changes and ensure appropriate interventions and notifications.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families.
• Supervise and guide LPNs, STNAs, and other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Complete documentation in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, care planning, and condition changes.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive, respectful, team-focused environment.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
