Job summary

Artesia General Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate Degree or Diploma.
• Current New Mexico RN license or RN with Multistate Compact privileges.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS required or within 90 days of employment.
• One year of relevant experience; graduates accepted based on position availability.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Provide direct patient care per established procedures, policies, and standards.
• Educate patients and families with health information; maintain confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist in the orientation/training of new employees.
• Assist other staff in the performance of their assignments.
• Recognize staffing variations and volunteer for cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in addressing questionable findings or concerns.
