Job summary

Verland is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team to provide exceptional care to individuals at Verland's home. The RN administers medications, assesses daily status, delivers emergency first aid, and documents care under the supervision of the DON.

The role collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team and participates in nursing department activities. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold PA RN registration, and have at least one year of acute care or related

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with PA registration.
Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).
Ability to document individuals’ care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships with IDT members.

Responsibilities

Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
Assess the physical status of individuals daily and report any unusual conditions to the Charge Nurse.
Provide emergency care (first aid) for individuals as needed.
Perform laboratory procedures as ordered.
Review ordered medications and treatments monthly.
Document care daily, quarterly, and annually.
Develop and implement health care plans as a member of the IDT and attend staffing reviews.
Attend Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.
Provide guidance to LPNs as needed.
Perform other related duties as required.
