Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond seeks Clinical Nurse I–III to provide direct, age-appropriate care within an integrated plan of care. You will administer prescribed medications, document outcomes, and collaborate with the health care team to support wellness and comfort.

Clin I–III require licensure in Virginia, ongoing education, and leadership responsibilities on the unit. Must follow physician orders and nursing standards, with shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN from an approved nursing program.
• RNs without a BSN must enroll in an RN-to-BSN program within two years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred for Clin III.
• Certification in specialty area preferred for Clin III.
• Follow physician orders and nursing standards within Virginia regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific care based on medical orders and an integrated plan of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Deliver education and guidance to patients, families, and the care team.
• Organize work, delegate tasks, and supervise other staff as needed.
• Follow ANA ethics and Virginia nursing regulations in practice.
