Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a registered nurse with less than 12 months of experience to join our inpatient care team. You will deliver patient‑centered nursing care, document assessments, participate in handoffs, and implement the nursing process to plan and evaluate outcomes.

You must hold an RN license in the state (or multi-state via eNLC) and obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state or multi-state via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 12 months of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safety and continuity of care using documentation and handoffs.
• Creates plan of care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnoses, intervention, and evaluation.
• Recognizes patient safety concerns and uses appropriate resources.
• Provides education based on patient learning needs.
• Incorporates ANA code of ethics into nursing practice.
