Registered Nurse/Clinical II, Telemetry Unit **$8K Sign-On Bonus** (Healthcare)
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Registered Nurse/Clinical II in the Telemetry Unit, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality patient care.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum one (1) year of recent nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting, as a registered nurse in the department to which you are hired.
EDUCATION & LICENSURES/CERTIFICATION:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Successful completion and maintenance of BLS certification.
- LA City Fire Card certification at the time of hire or within the first 30 days of employment.
- ACLS certification.
- NIHSS Certification (within 30 days of employment).
- Annual Critical Care Stroke Swank Stroke Education within 30 days of employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient Care Coordination: Provide comprehensive care and education to patients and families in a supportive environment.
- Communication: Maintain professional communication with colleagues, physicians, and healthcare team members, using SBAR format.
- Confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA and VPH policies, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Cross-training: Cross-train in various hospital areas per policy.
- Documentation: Use information technology efficiently for documentation.
- Care Evaluation: Collaborate with physicians and mentors to evaluate and modify care plans.
- Infection Control: Follow Universal Precautions and infection control standards.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications per hospital policy, reporting errors promptly.
- Nursing Process: Collect and interpret patient data, formulate diagnoses, and assess conditions.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient and family values and standards.
- Patient Satisfaction: Ensure compassionate care and keep patients and families informed.
- Patient Throughput: Support timely transfers and discharges.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality initiatives and projects.
- Professional Image: Exhibit professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication.
