Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital in Michigan is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit (Observation/Short Stay). The 19-bed unit offers a fast-paced environment with strong provider partnerships.

You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, communicate with the health care team, and educate patients and families. Michigan RN licensure required; BSN pathway encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in a BSN program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
