Beloit Health System at Beloit Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Family Practice clinic. Shift: 1st, Schedule: 8a-5p, Hours per week: 40 hours. Benefits eligible. Department: Beloit Clinic Family Practice.

The RN will provide nursing care, assist with procedures, manage medications, and support patient and family education while maintaining accurate records and adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
• Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• State licenses: Wisconsin (required); Illinois license also required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with procedures and delivers nursing care.
• Handles telephone calls for the department and documents as needed.
• Administers and maintains current medications.
• Ensures supplies are on hand and department is stocked.
• Assesses basic physical, psychological and social needs of patients and families.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Adheres to infection control procedures and patient safety.
• Maintains accurate medical records (electronic and/or paper).
• May draw blood, perform simple lab procedures and EKGs.
• Completes patient paperwork including FMLA, disability forms.

This Registered Nurse Clinic In Family Practice Will Provide Nursing Care And Perform Procedures As Necessary For Patient Care. The Registered Nurse Clinic Will

• Assists provider with procedures and provides necessary nursing care and procedures as necessary
• Demonstrates the ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applications
• Receives and handles telephone calls to department
• Administers and maintains current medications
• Consistently uses good judgment and professional communication in accommodating patients' needs
• Ensures appropriate and adequate supplies are on hand
• Appropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their families
• Provides patient and family education appropriately
• Strictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautions
• Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patients
• Protect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.
• Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical records
• May draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGs
• Assists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.
• State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).
• State of Illinois nursing license.
• Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
• Prior experience working with electronic medical records is preferred.
