Henry Ford Health Cottage is seeking an experienced OR nurse to join our ambulatory OR team in Grosse Pointe. The role involves circulating and scrubbing in the OR, coordinating care, and delivering compassionate patient care in a multi-service environment.

We require a BSN preferred and graduation from an accredited nursing program, with Michigan RN licensure and BCLS certification. This full-time day position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team setting.

Cottage Is a 4 Room Ambulatory OR With Operational Times Of 7a-4p. The Site Covers a Wide Range Of Services Such As

• Ortho: Sports Medicine, Total hips and knees, Podiatry and Hand
• Plastics: Breast augmentation, Breast Reduction, Liposuction, Face lifts and laser surgery
• Ophthalmology: Cataract, Retinal and Ocular Plastic

Position: 40 hours per week; No weekends, holidays or on-call requirements

Shift: Days

Location: Cottage, Grosse Pointe

General Summary

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• One year of OR experience is required.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
