Sunflower Management Group is seeking a Registered Nurse Circulator/Intraoperative to join our surgical team in Round Rock, Texas. This full-time role involves preparing the OR, verifying consent, maintaining aseptic technique, monitoring vitals, and assisting during procedures to ensure patient safety and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Licenses/Certification: RN in the state; current BLS.
• Experience: Minimum two years in an operating room setting in a hospital or ASC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to ensure aseptic/sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent prior to the procedure.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Monitor and document the patient’s vital signs and anesthesia status throughout the procedure.
• Serve as the patient advocate, ensuring their safety and comfort during surgery.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to the needs during the operation.
• Manage specimens and cultures according to proper protocols, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently, maintaining an inventory and restocking as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless operations.
• Assist in transferring the patient to the recovery room post-operation, providing a comprehensive report to the recovery team.
