Job summary

fhsmc is seeking a Registered Nurse Circulator/Intraoperative in Round Rock, TX to join a dedicated surgical team. You will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment, maintaining sterile conditions and supporting workflow throughout procedures.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, TX RN license, current BLS, and at least two years of operating room experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas; current BLS certification.
• Minimum two years in an operating room setting in a hospital or ASC.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare the operating room and ensure equipment is ready.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent.
• Maintain aseptic/sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Monitor and document vital signs and anesthesia status.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort during surgery.
• Coordinate with surgical team for needs during operation.
• Assist in transferring patient to recovery and provide report to recovery team.
• Document intraoperative process and any incidents.
