Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) on the night shift. You will provide high-acuity patient care, perform assessments, and coordinate the plan of care for a unit of critically ill adults.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of ICU experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. You will collaborate with intensivists, NPs, and respiratory therapists, with opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ICU bedside nursing experience.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
• Registered Nurse licensure

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in CICU using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care plans and collaborate with physicians and therapists.
• Supervise nursing assistants and delegate tasks during shifts.
• Participate in night-shift coverage and adjust care as needed.

Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – CICU

Schedule

Full Time, 36 hours, Nights

• Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist
• Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night
• Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts
• In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
