Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Chemo Infusion RN to provide hands-on nursing care for oncology patients in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center (CIC). The CIC offers chemotherapy/biotherapy, and other infusions in a 15-chair unit open 0700-1730 with 2 CVAD chairs.

This full-time (0.9 FTE), day-shift role includes rotating holidays; magnet designation; sign-on bonus for new hires; certification pay available and preferred OCN/ONCC certifications.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Oncology experience and OCN/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other high-risk medications.
• Provide hands-on nursing care in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center (CIC).
• Monitor infusion patients and manage infusion chairs and patient flow.

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. Our cancer center in Meridian brings our patients medical and radiation oncology specialists, as well as fellowship trained cancer surgeons in areas such as thoracic, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and urologic oncology.

What You Can Expect

• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift - no nights or weekends!
• Schedule: 4x9’s or 5x8’s & 4x8’s rotation
• Rotating holiday schedule: 1 holiday ever 2 years (St. Luke’s observes 6 major holidays)

• The Chemo Infusion RN provides hands‑on nursing care for Meridian’s oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center (CIC)
• Our Meridian CIC location has 15 treatment chairs and 2 injection/CVAD chairs and is open from 0700-1730
  • Infusions include chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.
    

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Oncology experience, OCN certification, and/or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
