Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Florida seeks an Interventional Cardiology Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an acute clinical setting, aligned with our nursing practice model and ANA standards.

The Interventional Cardiology RN assumes responsibility for performing, delegating and coordinating nursing care for patients undergoing special cardiac procedures, including interventions that assist the patient in a conscious or semiconscious state, and monitoring

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of cardiac nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN must be achieved within policy timeframe.
• Current RN license; BLS/ACLS credentials preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing specialized cardiac procedures and those under moderate sedation.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care in an acute clinical care environment.
• Assess physiologic, psychological, and social needs; develop and implement an individualized plan of care.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. The Interventional Cardiology RN assumes responsibility for performing, delegating and coordinating nursing care for patients undergoing special cardiac procedures, including interventions that assist the patient in a conscious or semiconscious state, and monitoring patients having moderate sedation. The Interventional Cardiology RN identifies physiologic, psychological, and sociologic needs of the patient, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, coordinates interventions and evaluates outcomes of the patient's hospital experience.

Required Qualifications

• Require a minimum of two (2) years of cardiac experience.
• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.
• Prefer strong IV skills.
• Prefer current Moderate Sedation and IV competency credentials.

Preferred Education

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required License and Certs

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
