Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This full-time role covers day shifts with call requirements, and includes a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

You will provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the surgical environment, collaborate with physicians, monitor hemodynamic data, and assist with equipment and supply management. A BSN is preferred and an active RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current active RN license in the state.
• BCLS (AHA) and ACLS required upon hire.
• One year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab.
• Communicates with physician about patient condition.
• Maintains equipment and inventory; ensures room readiness.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Participates in performance and quality improvement activities.

Overview

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.18 to $57.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
