Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Lansing, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for Casual Hospice coverage. You will deliver nursing care within your unit's scope, assess patients, document responses to the plan of care, and support ongoing care planning.

Requires MI RN license, ACLS within 6 months, PALS/TNCC/ENPC within one year for ED, and NRP within one year for OB. Casual shift with 8am-4:30pm schedule; on-site role; one year of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within one year for the OB Department.
• Preferred: one year of professional nursing experience.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.

2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.

3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered. Experience specific to the unit/position may be required to maintain overall competency level of unit, as required by regulatory agency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within in one year for the OB Department.

Preferred:

• One year of professional nursing experience.
