Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, reporting changes promptly.
  • Perform procedures, monitor, and document care as ordered by providers, including medication administration and response monitoring.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care, translating complex information as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: BSN or enrollment in a BSN program with a goal to obtain within 5 years; exemptions apply for experienced RNs.
  • Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing.
  • Required Licensure: Current RN license in North Carolina; eNLC license may apply; BLS certification required.
  • Preferred Certifications: Specialty certifications.
  • Required Experience: At least one year of acute or post-acute nursing experience.
