Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under supervision in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include nursing process assessments, planning, coordination with the care team, medication administration, and patient education.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and current Maryland RN registration, with at least one year of RN experience. CPR certification is required; specialty certifications may be requested on hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current RN license with Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses; CPR required; specialty certifications may be required on hire.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the Nursing Process and document findings.
• Plan and update written nursing care plans incorporating clinical and psychosocial factors.
• Coordinate with patient, family and health team for hospital and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and other treatments as prescribed.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary staff and monitor care delivery.
• Communicate patient status and care plan to physicians and team.
• Educate patients and families using teaching principles.
