Job Description

Vaughan Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery / LDRP Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. This role requires a strong understanding of obstetric nursing, critical care, and emergency medicine, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. The RN will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and positive birth experiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of mothers and newborns during labor.
• Administer medications and perform procedures such as IV placement.
• Assist with labor management, providing education and emotional support.
• Assess maternal-fetal well-being with appropriate tests and monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning.
• Respond to emergencies with critical care skills.

Qualifications
