The Registered Nurse Care Coordinator supports a dedicated Interventional Endoscopy provider and serves as the primary clinical coordinator and navigator for patients with complex gastrointestinal, pancreaticobiliary, and cancer‑related conditions. The Role

As an RN Care Coordinator, you will guide patients through the full continuum of interventional endoscopy care, from initial planning and procedure education through testing, treatment, and follow‑up. You will work in close partnership with an Interventional Endoscopy provider while collaborating with Access staff, nurses, endoscopy technicians, and other clinical specialists to keep complex care plans moving forward.

The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with hours aligned to the provider’s clinical schedule. In‑person attendance is required when the provider is performing procedures or seeing patients in clinic, while remote work may be available on days without procedures or clinic visits. Enjoy the addition of not working nights, holidays or weekends.

Your average day may include:

• Serving as a trusted clinical point of contact for a provider‑specific patient population.
• Responding to patient messages and clinical questions with clarity, compassion, and sound nursing judgment.
• Coordinating follow‑up appointments, laboratory testing, radiology studies, procedure dates, and individualized care plans.
• Educating patients and families about procedures, preparation requirements, treatment expectations, and next steps.
• Monitoring patient progress and helping ensure timely follow‑through across the care journey.
• Supporting provider clinic activities and communicating scheduling needs to Access staff.
• Observing procedures when needed to strengthen your understanding of treatment plans and post‑procedure requirements.
• Providing cross‑coverage for fellow care coordinators during absences and planned time away.

This role supports patients receiving highly specialized care, including ERCP, EUS, complex polypectomy, biliary obstruction management, and procedures related to cancer diagnosis and treatment. You will help patients navigate medically and emotionally complex situations while maintaining seamless communication among patients, providers, and care teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Experience

1 year of registered nursing experience required, 3 years of related and relevant registered nursing experience strongly preferred. Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred.

License/Certification

Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.

The pay range for this role is $85,820.80 - $113,401.60 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
