Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Proficient in patient assessment and care planning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Anticipates changes in patient condition and adjusts the plan of care; collaborates with healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase safety; educates patient and family as needed.
• Coordinates discharge planning using interdisciplinary approach and applies evidence-based practice.
• Contributes to quality/process improvement initiatives to enhance department functions and patient care experience.
• Demonstrates effective communication and leadership within the care team.
