Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Perioperative Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular OR at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. This full-time role runs 6:30a to 3p, Monday–Friday, with rotating call, weekends and holidays.

Expect direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations and potential involvement in orientation and education of staff. Requirements include graduation from a state approved nursing program, Illinois RN license and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing is required, BSN preferred.
• IL RN License and CPR/BLS from American Heart Association.
• 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Perioperative RN provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
• Functions as patient advocate and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safety and successful procedures.
• May orient new staff, lead educational programs and manage supplies/equipment.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

Experience

2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
