Hourly range for Registered Nurses: $40.18 - $62.31/hour

• Evening Shift Differential: $3.00/hour
• Night Shift Differential: $4.00/hour
• Charge Nurse Differential: $1.00/hour

Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms under the supervision of a Clinical Nursing Director. Rotate shifts and accept call as assigned. Assist in teaching activities within the Operating Room.

Nursing Specific Information

Applicants must meet the required qualifications to be considered. The position may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Salary and level will be determined at hire based on the Nursing Framework levels (A to F).

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Michigan
• One year of recent (within the last year) Operating Room experience
• Ability to work with non-responsive patients
• Call commitment with 30-minute response time

Desired Qualifications

• Current (within 3 years) scrubbing and circulating experience
• CNOR certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to handle stress and conflict effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork

Work Schedule

40 hours/week, rotating shifts (Day/Evening or Day/Night), including weekends and holidays. All new employees may be required to float to other units as needed.

Work Mode

Hybrid or remote work options are at the department's discretion and subject to review and change.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement with the Michigan Nurses Association and U-M Professional Nurse Council.
