Role

Cardiac Prep PACU Nurse

Responsibilities

Provide specialized pre- and post-anesthesia care to cardiac patients, perform focused cardiac assessments, manage telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring, administer IV medications, and support patient recovery from anesthesia.

Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Educate patients and families about care processes and recovery expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, experience in cardiac or perioperative care preferred.

Strong assessment skills, proficiency in telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring, and ability to administer IV medications safely.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient education and safety.
