BayCare Health System in Winter Haven seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical Cardiac team at Winter Haven Hospital. The RN will provide direct patient care, ensure safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans on a Med/Surg Cardiac unit.

Responsibilities include coordinating with care providers, updating plans of care with patients and families, and contributing to a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Florida.
BLS certification.
Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience.
Associates Degree in Nursing.

Position Description

Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care. Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit. Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
