Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Houston. The role is full-time with night shifts, focusing on critically ill congenital heart disease patients and post-surgical care.

Candidates must hold an RN license with a BSN and have 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU experience. ACLS, BCLS, and PALS must be obtained within specified timeframes; CCRN is preferred.

RN - CVICU

Full-Time NIGHTS

Registered Nurse candidates for the CVICU will have the following job responsibilities:

• You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery
• You will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered and holistic
• You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement
• You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

Job Qualifications-

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

RN - CVICU

Full-Time NIGHTS

Registered Nurse candidates for the CVICU must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• BSN required
• Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• CCRN Preferred
