Job summary

The Vetted Solutions team seeks an Inpatient Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiac ICU to provide comprehensive care for post‑cardiac surgery and critical cardiology patients in a 30‑bed unit in Danville, PA. You’ll assess, plan, and implement care plans day and night, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You have completed specialty nursing training and demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty nursing training program with holistic care capabilities.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience in cardiac ICU or post-operative cardiac care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs.

Job description

Role:

Inpatient Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac ICU, providing comprehensive care for post‑cardiac surgery and critical cardiology patients in a 30‑bed unit.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs, promoting safety, patient satisfaction, and compassionate care. Coordinate multidisciplinary care, deliver treatments, medications, and diagnostics, and revise care plans based on patient responses. Collaborate proactively with physicians and staff, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in evidence‑based practice decisions. Engage actively in team efforts, quality improvement, and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate from a specialty nursing training program, with the ability to provide holistic care addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills required.

Key Duties:

Complete patient assessments, develop and execute care plans, provide treatments and medications, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and support discharge planning. Participate in unit decision‑making, safety education, and quality initiatives to improve care standards.

This full‑time role involves day/night rotation, every other weekend and holiday shifts. The unit utilizes advanced technologies like ECMO, Ventilators, and LVAD, caring for complex cardiac and critical care patients.
