Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Cardiac Float Pool Registered Nurse to join Beloit Memorial Hospital. The role covers multiple units including the Cardiac ICU, Intermediate, ER, and Cardiac Cath Lab, offering diverse experiences and ongoing professional development.

Requirements include ADN/ Diploma/ BSN/ MSN, Wisconsin licensure or multi-state, BLS and ACLS within specified timelines. Telemetry and NIHSS certifications are expected, with ongoing clinical training and strong communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• State licensure Wisconsin or multistate; WI licensure within 30 days.
• BLS certified within three months of hire.
• ACLS certified within six months of hire.
• Telemetry trained within six months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within six months of hire.
• ASLS certification within 12 months, PALS encouraged.
• Glucometer training within six months of hire.
• Moderate sedation training within six months of hire.
• CRRT, IABP, Cardiothoracic surgery trained within 12 months of hire.
• Requires excellent communication and counseling technique.

• Shift: 1st or 3rd
• Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Hours per week: 30-36 hours per week

In this position the Cardiac Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for multiple patient several units throughout the hospital to include the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Intermediate, Emergency Room, and the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Cardiac Float Pool Registered Nurse

• Appropriately assesses basic physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families.
• Effectively plans patient care with patient and family involvement.
• Consistently implements the patient's plan of care.
• Accurately evaluates patient's health status in relation to outcomes of nursing interventions/medical therapies.
• Provides patient/family education appropriately.
• Strictly adheres to infection control policies including body substance isolation and blood born pathogen precautions.
• Actively participates in Quality Improvement program.
• Performs unit specific duties according to established unit-based competencies.
• Completes documentation according to policy.
• Effectively sets goals and priorities for provision of care to a group of patients according to acuity.
• Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting and providing medications to patients; protects patients from various hazards, falls, disease exposure, etc.
• Demonstrates ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software application appropriate to position.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to meet patient's needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

• State of Wisconsin or multistate nursing licensure required. (Must request WI licensure within 30 days).
