Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for a designated population, coordinate care within an interdisciplinary team, and support achievement of patient outcomes.

The role requires an ASN or Nursing diploma; BSN in progress is preferred. Candidates need NJ RN licensure and BLS within 60 days, with at least six months of nursing experience or participation in a Nurse Residency program. This is a full-time night shift position.

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress preferred.

Experience:

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
