Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing is required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years is required.
• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey and BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience:

• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
