Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is seeking a professional registered nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care for SIH patients during the night shift in a full-time capacity. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote and maintain the optimum health level of patients
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition
• Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records
• Provide input into policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care
• Supervision and delegation responsibilities of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistive personnel
• Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating with other health professionals
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level

Compensation

Compensation (Commensurate with experience): $31.25 To $49.06
