Job summary

Cox Medical Center Branson is seeking an Intensive Care Unit nurse to deliver direct, patient-centered critical care in a fast-paced setting. You’ll work with an experienced team to care for critically ill patients, manage complex devices, and support families in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatments, and collaboration with physicians to optimize outcomes. A strong commitment to teamwork, growth, and clinical excellence is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• License: RN in Missouri; BLS required within 90 days.
• Preferred: ACLS within one year of hire.
• Preferred: BSN degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized care to acutely/critically ill patients.
• Monitor and operate advanced ICU equipment and alarms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and therapies.
• Document patient status and respond to changes promptly.

They assess the patient’s condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc.Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in NursingExperience: Preferred: Previous nursing experienceSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
