McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit to apply clinical judgment in diagnosing and treating patient responses to health conditions. The nurse will assess, monitor, plan, and take actions to prevent complications while promoting optimal health.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team to develop individualized plans of care and participating in ongoing professional development.
The McLaren system includes 12 hospitals across the state, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, a 730-member employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering more than 242,000 Michigan lives, home health, infusion and hospice providers, pharmacy services, a clinical laboratory network, and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company. McLaren operates Michigan’s largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. McLaren has 20,000 full-, part-time and contracted employees and more than 93,000 network providers throughout Michigan.
Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications and promotes optimal level of health. Accountable for integrating care within scope of practice licensure, relevant education and experience. Reports to shift Team Leader and is accountable to the Department Manager. Utilizes Policies and Procedures to guide job duties. Level specific criteria are evaluated annually and can be found in the MNM Clinical Ladder.
