Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health in an urgent care setting. The RN will provide oversight and general nursing care to individuals with behavioral health or substance use needs, under limited supervision in North Carolina.

Pay starts at $36.00 per hour with a 10% shift differential for weeknights and a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun: 7:45 am–8:15 pm). Requirements include a registered nursing license, an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), CPR

Qualifications

• Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
• CPR proficiency as described.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining inventories and logs.
• Monitoring consumers and taking action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
• Completing QA activities and participating in QA process.
• Ensuring license status of nursing staff is in good standing.
• Providing nursing evaluations and monitoring for safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the community by performing the duties listed in this job description. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include

• Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License. For certain behavioral health services additional requirements may apply.
• Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included: Required to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 25 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

RHA Behavioral Health Urgent Care/RN/PT

This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care, assessment, and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in a Behavioral Health Urgent Care setting. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.

Starting Pay: $36.00 Shift differential: 10% for weeknights Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:45a-8:15p

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.
• Prefer one year of nursing experience.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Some college training and/or management experience helpful.
• Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Job Responsibilities

• Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies.
• Monitoring consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.

Essential physical and sensory requirements include

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

CPR proficiency

• Must be able to demonstrated proficiency in CPR from floor level. Practicing CPR skills will require you to work on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include

• Close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
