Nurse Practitioner - Per Diem - Licensed PA - Telephonic After Hours Remote

Join us as a Nurse Practitioner - Per Diem - Licensed PA - Telephonic After Hours Remote at Optum.

Position Overview: This role involves providing telephonic care during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to patients in Pennsylvania, primarily focusing on geriatric populations in various care settings. It offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Compensation: $3,500 Sign-on Bonus for External Candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide telephonic medical care and care coordination for members, utilizing EMR systems effectively.
• Manage acute, chronic, and behavioral health conditions in collaboration with physicians and specialists.
• Document encounters thoroughly to support diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare teams, and facility staff.

Scheduling & Shifts: Every other weekend, one weekday night shift, and holiday shifts scheduled in advance. Shifts are between 5 PM and 8 AM, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Active PA NP license and national certification (Family, Geriatrics, Adult, or Adult-Gerontology).
• Current DEA licensure or ability to obtain.
• Experience in high-acuity geriatric care preferred.
• Excellent typing and documentation skills.

Benefits & Compensation: Hourly range $43.17 to $84.95, based on experience and location, with comprehensive benefits, incentives, and growth opportunities.
