Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift (36 hours/week), with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Starting pay is $37.50/hour. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and achievement of advancement criteria. You will respond to codes, supervise nursing staff, assist physicians, and develop individualized care plans for patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Registered Nurse).
• Associate degree minimum; bachelor’s preferred.
• Ability to navigate Windows-based programs.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• 1+ year of behavioral health nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to unit and hospital codes and treat patients per protocols.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to ensure safe care.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prescribed therapies.
• Develop and document individualized care plans with families.

Job Description:

• Starting Pay: $37.50/hour Full-time 36 hours/week; Days 6:30a-7p; Every other weekend and rotating holidays Grow with us.


• Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.


• Responds to and participates in unit and hospital code situations, treating patients according to protocols.


• Supervises and guides licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care.


• Assists physicians with bedside procedures and performs therapeutic measures as prescribed.


• Develops, prioritizes, and documents individualized care plans involving patients, families, and significant others.


• Administers medications and treatments accurately and appropriately, including IV infusions and oxygen supplementation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
