Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse for Evanston, IL, 32 hr/wk part-time with flexible start times. The role involves independent nursing care on a unit, applying the nursing process and involving patients and families in care planning. Expect regulatory compliance and leadership of unlicensed staff within an interdisciplinary team.

Candidates should have an IL RN license, graduate from an approved nursing program, and CPR/BLS. BSN and ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing.
• IL RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• CPR/BLS from AHA.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• CPAN/CAPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for all patient populations on a unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Include patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assume responsibility and authority for outcomes of nursing care and decision-making based on therapeutic relationship with patient.
• Guide assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Location: Evanston (ability to travel other Endeavor Hospitals)

Part time (32 hr/wk)

Hours:

Flexible start time from 5 a to Noon with 8 hr shifts M-F

What you will do

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• License/Certification/Experience: IL RN License
• CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred
• CPAN/CAPA preferred
