Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time 32 hr/week role on a designated unit. The position offers flexible start times with 8-hour shifts, and the location may travel to other Endeavor Hospitals as needed.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BSN is preferred, and BLS is mandatory with ACLS/PALS preferred. Compensation includes premium pay for shifts, incentives, and opportunities for annual increases based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides safe, effective nursing care for all patient populations on a unit.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in practice.
• Assumes responsibility for outcomes and makes decisions based on patient needs.
• Guides assigned unlicensed staff in delivering care.
• Communicates with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Hours:

Flexible start time from 5 a to Noon with 8 hr shifts M-F

What you will do

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• License/Certification/Experience: IL RN License
• CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred
• CPAN/CAPA preferred
