The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Nurse IV Associate Chief Nurse in Geriatrics and Extended Care. This leadership role involves significant responsibility for program management, providing consultation and mentorship while ensuring high standards in nursing practices. Ideal candidates will have an MSN degree, relevant nursing experience, and a commitment to healthcare excellence.
The Nurse IV Associate Chief Nurse (ACN) Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) executes leadership characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for population groups or integrated programs that cross services and/or discipline lines, influencing the organizational healthcare mission.
The Nurse IV ACN GEC functions as an advisor, administrator, educator, consultant, and mentor with a wide range of experience and leadership ability.

Basic Requirements:
Preferred Education/Experience: MSN Degree. Supervisory experience and/or experience managing programs is preferred.

This position requires a combination of walking and standing with potentially long periods of sitting. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to patients who are combative secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders. Use of fingers, both hands, and near and far vision is required.
