Job summary

Novant Health in Huntersville, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse ASC to work in Presbyterian Physicians Plaza. The RN ASC provides primary nursing care in the ASC and supports day-to-day operations.

Cross-trained to other areas, coordinates pre-admission telephone assessments, and collaborates with the team to ensure safe patient care. Full-time daytime schedule; no holidays, weekends, call, or nights.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in the appropriate state.
• Minimum 1 year ASC, PACU or operating room experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and tailor care to age-specific needs; proficient in telephone screening.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate telephone pre-admission assessments for ASC patients.

What We Offer

Location: Presbyterian Physicians Plaza, Huntersville ASC

Shift/Hours: Full time, 5-8hr DAYS (no holidays, weekend, call, nor night requirements)

PACU, ICU, ED experience needed

The Registered Nurse ASC is expected to work in a primary nursing area for the center. The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations. The RN ASC is also responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: RN License in Appropriate State, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
