Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Ambulatory Surgery Center role in Center City Outpatient. The position offers days, full-time 4-10 hour shifts, with no holidays, no weekends, and no call or nights.

You will work in a fast-paced surgical setting with orthopedics, robotics, ENT, and more, supported by ongoing education and leadership backing. The role emphasizes cross-training across ASC operations and collaboration within a high-performing team, with education

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• 1 year ASC/PACU/OR experience preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload; age-appropriate care.
• Strong telephone screening and interviewing skills.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train to other ASC areas including turnover and day-to-day ASC operations.

The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience:One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
